Love Bite – Oil on canvas painted as a commission based on photographs of wild horses

Recently completed oil on canvas – start of a new series I am working on  

 

These are a selection of paper mache busts that I handmade then painted.    This one is titled “Second Skin” from the black and white series – sold

 Titled “Sunset” –  For Sale $295 – one of the series I am currently working on from the through the African night series – from dreams of lying under a tree in the African bush.  Through the maze of branches I see the sky change colour, streaking with the tangerine colours of the sun as it drops behind the clouds. The streaks of pink and purple that infiltrate and the many grays, tinted with dying sun’s rays.

 Titled “Dusk falls quickly” – For Sale $295 -one of the series I am currently working on from the through the African night series – from dreams of lying under a tree in the African bush.  The sky moves into dusk – languid like a woman moving towards her lover, the wine colours slipping in and around the sunset hues as night’s fingers slowly close around her heart.

  Titled : “I walked a mile” – painted and donated to the Numbat project for auction to raise funds for their work in protecting these little animals

Local Lennox Artist, Kay Knights, is holding an art class on Sunday January 18^th 2015. It will run from 9am – 4.00. Includes morning tea and a light lunch as well as all art materials – including a totally handmade paper mache bust (value $50) for you to paint on.

Kay will work with you to design something special for your home then you will paint this on your bust. Lightweight and easy to hang – these look wonderful hanging on a white wall and will bring you satisfaction and enjoyment for many years.
